Artist Bio

Abigail Romine was born January 9, 2007, in Dallas, Texas. She grew up with a passion for creating art, which led her to Booker T. Washington for the Performing and Visual Arts.

As a student at Booker T, Abby has contributed to five exhibitions in the school’s Hudson Gallery. She uses different mediums, including paint and colored pencil, to create a range of art pieces. Her favorite medium is acrylic paint. She specializes in stylistic self portraits that are unique and striking. She creates vivid contrasts using values that are not typically seen in portraits.

She conveys nostalgia and comfort by capturing significant moments from her childhood that are relatable to viewers. She also uses her art to reflect her perspective on social issues and pressures, and hopes her work sparks conversations and fosters connections with viewers.
